Ted Farrell, based in Washington, DC, works with law firms, litigants, and institutional capital sources to advise on all aspects of third-party litigation funding. He, along with Rebecca, has been recognized by Chambers and Partners as Band 1 – Litigation Finance Brokers in the United States.
Recognized as a thought leader in the space, he has been quoted in numerous publications, including The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Law and Law360. A frequent speaker at industry events, he has served as both a panelist and moderator at major conferences in the US and abroad, including LF Dealmakers US and UK, and IMN US and UK. He is also the host of All Things Litigation Funding, a podcast featuring in-depth conversations with participants in all corners of the legal finance world.
Before starting Litigation Finance Advisors with Rebecca, Ted founded his own litigation consultancy, which followed his time as Managing Director at Vannin Capital, where he was responsible for originating, underwriting, and negotiating transactions.
Prior to Vannin, Mr. Farrell was a Partner at RuyakCherian LLP, which he joined after years as an associate at Winston & Strawn LLP, and Baker Botts LLP. Mr. Farrell has litigated a wide variety of antitrust, intellectual property, and other commercial disputes in state and federal courts across the United States.
